Notes: This was my first of many Bridge School Benefits.
From 1995-1998 I was part of a small, close-knit online community of Pearl
Jam fans, and we chatted online, had a message board, and got together for
PJ shows. My primary reason for going to Bridge this particular year was to
see Pearl Jam, of course. The artists perform mostly acoustically, and it's
an interesting group of different performers every year. On this particular
night, I was probably the most excited to hear "Footsteps."  I was also
thrilled to see Pete Townshend, as my dad has made me a bit of a Who fan.
A few years later, The Who would play Bridge, and I was more excited to see
them than I was to see Pearl Jam!
I think I took a Greyhound bus up to the Bay Area and my friends picked
me up.  We all stayed at the same hotel and I remember having an
enjoyable time with everyone.  It was a silly, fun group of people.
