Keller Williams: March 9, 2002
Main Set: Encore(s): Notes: I went to this show mainly to see John Butler Trio. They were the first band to play and the floor was mostly empty when they started, but had filled up considerably by the time they finished. I can't swear to it, but I think they closed their set with "Take," which is my favorite JBT song. I was unfamiliar with Robert Randolph, but he and his band were fantastic! They had the entire venue into their set. Keller Williams was solo, with a ton of guitars and pedals and looping machines. I found this rather boring to watch after several songs. I think I gave him about an hour of my time and then finally my companion and I decided to bail. Sorry, Keller. I think he should've gone on second and Robert Randolph last. (May 12, 2010) |
