Notes: This was the first concert I'd ever been to. I had been obsessed with U2 for
almost four years at this point and it was almost more than my 14-year-old self
could handle to actually see them live, in person! I got a pair of tickets
through their fanclub and had seats in roughly the 10th row on the floor. I took
my best friend, Linda Schrantz, to the show with me. She was an exchange student
from Czechoslovakia and loved U2 as much as me. My parents drove us to the show
along with my sister, and their plan was to explore the state capital city while
Linda and I were at the show. But we got to the venue early in the afternoon and
learned that extra tickets might be put on sale. So, we waited in line for about
an hour or two, and then eventually got extra tickets! So, the whole family got
to see U2 and we had a total blast.
